Attorney General’s Office Investigates State Police Escorts of Sports Cars
The New Jersey Attorney General’s office is looking into complaints that a caravan of luxury sports cars traveling at high speeds was escorted by state police on the Garden State Parkway March 30. Among those in the caravan of Lamborghinis, Porsches and Ferraris heading to Atlantic City was reportedly former New York Giant Brandon Jacobs and other members of the Driving Force Club, a group that describes itself as “car fanatics with a spice of racing and adrenalin rush in their hearts.” The group also uses its sports cars for charity events. Jacobs’ agent told NJ Today the NFL star was involved in a group who went to Atlantic City, but he has no knowledge of any police escort and does not recall driving at or near 100 miles per hour.
