US Airstrikes In Syria Cost ISIS Nearly $800 Million
American airstrikes against ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria over the previous months have cost the terror group between three hundred to eight hundred million dollars, authorities in charge of operations announced. Focusing on banks and cash houses, one airstrike in souther Iraq reportedly destroyed 150 million dollars in funds and killed an ISIS finance minister.
Dubbed Operation Tidal Wave 2, the strikes that started in October also have focused on oil fields, anything to fracture ISIS funding streams. The success of these operations has been seen in the number of foreign fighters being recruited by ISIS drastically falling.
